Gerard Bourke started playing Gaelic football as a youth with the Delaware County Gaels. From there in between training with the Gaels he started training with Donegal Philadelphia as a sixteen-year-old. Gerard joined Donegal during our quest for the New York championship 2006-08. He has played in countless junior championship teams with the club over the years and has enjoyed loads of success, topped by the USGAA Junior title in 2018. He is known around the club as “the shoulder”. Gerard is the five-time winner of the coveted most improved player, so he doesn’t even know what that means anymore! He happily joined the club board at the beginning of the 2019 season and is looking forward to a few more years of success on and off the pitch.
